Since 1972, UCOM has been a centralized outreach for our faith partners to deliver meals to aging seniors living independently. We serve as a drop site for Aging True.
We want our aging seniors to remain independent as long as they desire and as possible.

We offer a variety volunteer opportunities for our aging seniors who seek a renewed sense of purpose during 'retirement'! Many are able to volunteer right were they live!

UCOM delivers groceries with heart healthy and diabetic options to 9 area income sensitive and senior living apartment buildings and their service coordinators. We work hard to make sure the food options make sense for aging seniors while providing accessibility devices and coaching.

There are many ways UCOM helps to engage the seniors in your congregation. UCOM can provide educational programing, outreach opportunities, and be an extension to your specific local mission focuses. We also join communities for more intentional and deeper impact in our communities.

Weekly meal prep classes
Residents of selected apartment complexes work together to prepare nutritious meals they take home.
Meals for neighbors
Extra meals are delivered to mobility-limited and homebound seniors in the same community with a focus on residents on wait lists or Meal Delivery programs.
How It Works: Seniors gather weekly for guided meal prep sessions on-site of their apartment complex in their common room. Participants prepare meals together led by a trained UCOM staff member. Each participant will make extra meals for neighbors in need. Volunteer help wiht meal delivery and wellness check-ins.

Who Makes this possible: Faith & Coorporate partners who commit to volunteerism, collaboration, and outreach on a scheduled basis. And the incredible strategic investment from Baptist Health!
With collaboration, cooridnation, and the willingness to roll up our sleeves - we solve insecurity by simply being a good neighbor.
