Derek Mountford (Gunster, San Jose Church of Christ) President
Derek Mountford is a Jacksonville-based commercial litigator and problem solver at Gunster, Yoakley, & Stewart P.A. He has experience working on a wide variety of cases, including contract disputes, claims arising under the Uniform Commercial Code, antitrust violations, and other general commercial disputes. Prior to joining Gunster, Derek spent time with regional and national law firms where he worked in complex commercial litigation and appellate advocacy practice groups. He also served as a judicial law clerk for two U.S. District Judges in Jacksonville, which broadened his perspective and enhanced his advocacy skills. The lessons learned along the way inform his practice now and offer a unique lens through which Derek assesses cases.

Claudio Gosiker is a military veteran and Information Technology leader focused on enabling business imperatives through vision, execution, and strategic partnerships. He is an executive collaborator, trusted advisor, and mentor. His business and technical acumen enables him to partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities, leveraging technology to drive and enable strategic imperatives.
Mindy Menzel (San Marco Resident, Southside United Methodist Church) Treasurer
Mrs. Menzel worked for approximately 13 years in investment banking in Nashville TN. She was responsible for the execution of public and private equity and debt offerings as well as mergers and acquisitions. After moving to Jacksonville in 2006, Mrs. Menzel joined Coastal Construction Products in the Human Resources department where she worked for 7 years. In 2015, Mrs. Menzel moved into the Director of Finance position. Mrs. Menzel spent 11 years volunteering with Duval County Public Schools in positions such as Treasurer of the PTSA and Chairman of the School Advisory Committee. Mrs. Menzel has been a past member of Southside Methodist Church’s Staff Pastor Relations Committee. In 2018, Mrs. Menzel joined the Meals on Wheels team as a driver and was introduced to UCOM and the valuable work done by the organization. Mrs. Menzel joined the UCOM Board of Directors in September 2021. Mrs. Menzel graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1990. Mrs. Menzel and her husband Blake have two grown boys.
Mary Moran (JEA Retired, Impact Church) Secretary
Mary L Moran is a retiree of JEA where she was the Manager of Electric Generation Planning. In her 33-year career, she performed long-term traditional generation and renewable generation planning, technology selection, and purchased power contract solicitation, evaluation and award. Mary worked closely with senior leadership within her business unit and adjacent units. She represented JEA on several state committees and agencies.
Mary completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida and Master’s Degrees from the University of North Florida in Professional Education and Bethel University, Seminary (St Paul, Minnesota) in Children and Family Ministry. Over the years, Mary has served in her church in Children’s, Youth, Young Adult, Events and Small Group Ministries. She is currently an active member of Impact Church, Jacksonville Florida.

Socrates Rivers (FSCJ Foundation, Celebration Church)
Mr. Rivers is a social entrepreneur and successful finance professional with over 20 years of
experience in strategic management consulting and capital advisory with start-ups to
multinational corporations. In his current role as Director of Major Gifts & Planned Giving at
Florida State College at Jacksonville (“FSCJ”), he aligns individuals, corporations, and
foundations to effectively use their time, talent, and treasure to change students’ lives at FSCJ
and the Jacksonville community as a whole.
Before joining FSCJ, Rivers was a major gifts fundraiser for Youth Build Lake County and held
roles in Corporate Strategy & Development, Corporate Finance, and Public Finance. He enjoys
outdoor adventures with family and friends in his spare time and uses his time, talent, and
treasure to encourage young adults to reach their true potential.
Rivers earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Akron. He
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Ohio University in Athens,
Ohio. Additionally, Rivers served as president of the Warren-Newport Public Library District
board and served on the Illinois State Board of Education’s School Financial Oversight Panel.

Michael Neff takes a vision and makes it a reality from sound strategy development through effective execution. With a strong business background, diverse professional experience across several industries and domains, and desire to improve the quality of life of those underserved, Michael instinctively sees opportunity where others may see obstacles.
Michael has previously served as the Director of Finance & Operations at Ability Housing, a non-profit organization focused on providing affordable housing to the underserved and as the Chief Operating Officer & Chief Strategy Officer for Feeding Northeast Florida, a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce food insecurity and address the cycle of poverty. Additionally, he was an Engagement Manager at PwC Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company), where he led large strategy and transformation initiatives solving complex problems for various Fortune 100 companies in the Healthcare, Finance, and Technology sectors.
Michael currently is a member of the Procurement Department at Kemper Insurance where he focuses on process improvement and leading strategic sourcing projects.
